This analysis is necessarily part conjecture, because, as we know,peace activists are not invited to the table where foreign policy ismade. As such, we must look to history to predict imperialismsnext moves. We must examine what they do, not what they say.This work provides activists with information, analysis and ideasto renew and rebuild the U.S. peace movement on an antiimperialistfoundation. It argues for a mass organizing approachthat reaches out to our fellow citizens in their neighbors,campuses and workplaces. Grassroots organizing is the onlymeans we have of breaking through the media black-out of ouranalysis and message. My hope is that this work adds to thediscussion already underway as to what to do.
