Hi, I’m Wayne Nealis a political activist and writer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, focusing on communications and strategies for social change. I have roots in the labor movement, having been a toolmaker and union activist in a Minnesota industrial union. Later I earned a degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and practiced journalism and public and media relations. My perspective springs from a Marxist theoretical outlook on human history, development, and class struggle, as well as the emancipatory contributions of feminism, black liberation, and anti-colonial struggles.
My work is published in WorkingUSA: The Journal of Labor and Society, including an article on a labor strategy for national health insurance and one on alternative fueled vehicles and the auto industry crisis in 2009. You can find other work of mine at MinnPost.org, the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder and the People’s World. E-books of my 2023 book Climate Chaos, Global Poverty and Capitalism and my 2024 book, Challenge Capitalist Political Power are available at https://store.bookbaby.com.
