The Imperialist Offensive and the U.S. Peace Movement

This work provides activists with information, analysis and ideas
to renew and rebuild the U.S. peace movement on an anti-imperialist
foundation. It argues for a mass organizing approach
that reaches out to our fellow citizens in their neighbors,
campuses and workplaces. Grassroots organizing is the only
means we have of breaking through the media black-out of our
analysis and message. My hope is that this work adds to the
discussion already underway as to what to do.

Today, as in the past, the goals of the capitalist-imperialist system
stand in sharp contrast to the interests of the international
working class that can only be served by sharing the worlds
natural resources, markets and productive capacity. Today, the
goal of raising all of humanity to a dignified material life can be
accomplished rapidly given our deeper knowledge of the earth’s
ecosystem, available resources and vastly more productive
manufacturing and construction technologies. Peace is the only
path to reaching such a goal.
